CRPF trooper killed in south Kashmir attack

Srinagar : A paramilitary was killed after militants attacked on CRPF camp near Railway station Kakpora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday evening.

Official sources said that militants fired on CRPF camp resulting in injuries to one CRPF personal identified as Chandrika Prasad.

The injured trooper was rushed to nearby hospital for the treatment; however, he succumbed to injuries later. The deceased was there for the election duty as the area will go polling during 4th phase of Panchayat elections.

Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area and searches are on to nab the assailants.
