Winter session of Karnataka legislature set to begin on Dec 10

The winter session of the Karnataka legislature is set to begin today in Belagavi. Being the first full session of the coalition government outside Bengaluru, the principal opposition party BJP has already declared its intention to corner the government.

It is already questioning the coalition Government on farmer suicides, issues of sugarcane farmers and alleged lack of clarity and delay in the implementation of the farm loan waiver.

BJP has already announced to organise a large-scale protest in Belagavi, claiming that over one lakh farmers will take part in it, during the session to corner the government on agrarian issues.

The session will continue till the 21st of this month.
