ADDC Budgam inspects ongoing developmental works in Chadoora

BUDGAM, JULY 23: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam Khurshid Ahmad Sanai today inspected the ongoing works of various developmental works including Rs. 13.85 crore Hanjura-Brenwar road project in Chadoora Tehsil of Budgam.

The ADDC was accompanied by Xen PMGSY Aftab Ahmad, Tehsildar Chadoora Javed Ahmad and senior officers from revenue and line departments.

The 11-kilometer Hanjura-Branwar road project is being constructed under PMGSY.

During his visit, the ADDC took the stock of ongoing macadamization and drainage construction works of the project.

The ADDC directed the concerned to ensure that standard material is used for the construction of the road.

He emphasized on the completion of the work on drainage network adjacent to the road well before the blacktopping of it.

He asked the Tehsildar to ensure the drainage is not merged with the irrigation canal and is used only for rainy water as demanded by the locals at Wani Mohalla of Surasyar.

During his tour, the ADDC lifted samples of the material being used for the construction of the road at various spots for lab testing to check the standards of the materials used by the contractors.

He directed the concerned to expedite works on the road project and related works including roadside protection walls, drainage and widening of the road is completed within the set time frames.

Meanwhile, ADDC also met various public delegations and ensured them that all their genuine grievances would be addressed on priority.

During his inspection of Nayabat office at Surasyar, the ADDC directed the construction of boundary wall around it and directed concerned to ensure prompt redressal of public issues.

The ADDC also directed the concerned to remove the encroachment on the government Kahcharai land in the area and settle all the revenue extracts hampering various developmental projects in Chadoora.

He also asked the Revenue authorities to submit CSR report on the development and employment generation by the 7.5 MW Brenwar Hydro Electric Power Project.
