DDC Ramban chairs maiden review meeting

RAMBAN, July 23: Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired maiden review meeting after assuming office as District Development Commissioner, Ramban.

The meeting was attended by ADC, Gurvinderjeet Singh, ACR, Vevaik Puri, CPO, Uttam Singh, SDMs, CMO, CEO, Xens, and district heads of different departments.

The DDC directed all district and sectoral officers to improve public delivery system and maintain people friendly work culture in their respective departments to enable them to avail hassle free benefits of different welfare schemes.

He further directed the officers to ensure punctuality and Biometric attendance of staff in their offices to deliver public services efficiently. The officers were directed to conduct frequent field visits and inspection of ongoing projects sites to ensure quality of work and timeline completion.

Meanwhile, he reviewed the functioning of PWD, PMGSY, PDD, Health, Education, Technical Education, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Fisheries, RDD, Municipalities, KVIB, Industries, Bank Sectors and various other departments.

The DDC directed PWD to complete the tendering process for construction of Maitra Bridge and other projects. The CEO and tehsildar Banihal was directed to conduct a joint visit to identify land for the construction Girls Hostel within two days, while DPO was directed to speed up the work to achieve ODF target. He also directed the officers of Transmission Line Maintenance Division to expedite the work of augmentation of receiving station Maitra Ramban.

Threadbare discussion was held on the issues pertaining to different schemes including construction of roads and buildings in the light of physical and financial targets set for the current year.

The DDC directed the officers to expedite the work on the ongoing roads and achieve the requisite targets with in stipulated time period without compromising on the quality.
