DDC Rajouri inspects development works, sets deadline for completion of girls’ hostels
Dialysis centre in DH to be made functional soon
RAJOURI, JULY 25: The District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz today set deadline for completion of crucial projects taken up to provide enhanced infrastructure to girl students for delivery of quality education in the district.
The DDC, during his on-spot visit to the project sites, inspected work on Rs. 3.40 crore Tribal hostel at Mera Nagrota and Rs. 2.82 crore girls hostel under RMSA at Plangarh, and set deadlines of March 31, 2019 and November 30, 2018 respectively, for completion of these hostels.
The issue of land for one residential school was also discussed and directions for making suitable land available to executing agency for taking up construction work were issued.
During his visit to GHSS Saaj, the DDC directed the concerned for early completion of work on examination hall being constructed at Rs 10 Lakh. Besides, he held interactions with students and teachers. He impressed upon the teaching faculty to bring in innovation in pedagogy to inculcate self confidence in students with conceptual clarity in lessons being taught so as to enable them to compete at national and international levels.
The DDC also inspected Link road to Saaj Upper besides visiting Universal One Stop Centre for Women to review its functioning.
He was informed that out of 47 cases related to domestic violence, harassment at work places and sexual abuse, 37 have been resolved amicably. He impressed for launching vigorous awareness campaign especially in remote areas about mandate of OSC and services being offered to women in distress.
Earlier, the DDC took stock of Medicare and reviewed availability of essential medicines and drugs in District Hospital. He visited Medical Ware house, Laundry Unit, AYUSH Unit, RBSK Unit and Physiotherapy unit and reviewed their functioning. He directed for starting Dialysis Unit at the earliest. Besides, issues related to Hospital infrastructure like completion of boundary wall and Attendant Sarai, construction of alternate road, preparations of DPRs for staff quarter, halls including one for library and two for class rooms besides up gradation of District Hospital to 500 bedded capacity were also reviewed in detail.
