BARAMULLA, JULY 30: To ensure the hassle-free movement of commuters and the ambulances plying on the District Hospital road, Municipal Council (MC) Baramulla today launched an anti-encroachment drive during which many un-authorised structures and other occupant vendors were cleared from the road.
A team of MC functionaries headed by Executive Officer Firdous Ahmad launched this drive which was appreciated by people.
The Executive Officer strictly warned the vendors and other traders not to encroach the road failing which legal action against them as per the law will be initiated. He said that the initiative will enable a hassle-free movement of people especially the patients visiting the hospital. He also urged people to cooperate adding that the step is primarily meant for the welfare and the safeguard of the people.
