POONCH, JULY 30: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting to review the preparedness for ‘Swachh Sarvekshan Grameen – 2018- a survey being conducted by Ministry of Drinking water and Sanitation to develop ranking of all states and districts of India on the basis of quantitative and qualitative sanitation parameters.
The top performing states and districts will be awarded on 2nd October 2018.
Rahul Yadav directed the concerned agencies and their functionaries to encourage community participation for the improvement of sanitation in towns, villages, besides public places including schools, Health institutions, and Haat Bazaars.
The DDC emphasized on the sustainability of ODF campaign for which he stressed on collective and coordinated efforts. He directed the RDD officials to work in mission mode and complete their due assignments with a great sense of responsibility and team spirit.
Meanwhile, the DDC also asked for organizing awareness programmes to sensitize the general public especially students regarding the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
The meeting was attended by SDM Mendhar, District Panchayat Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief education officer, District social welfare officer and other district officers.
