DDC Rajouri inspects beautification work at heritage site Chingus Sarai
Parking facility for tourists to come up soon
RAJOURI, AUGUST 02: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited the historic Mughal Sarai at Chingus and inspected the pace of ongoing renovation work taken up to restore the pristine glory of the heritage site.
The DC was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer, Rajouri Development Agency (RDA) Dr Tahir Firdous, Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hamid, ExEn RDA, Tehsildar Rajouri and concerned Block Development Officer.
The Chief Executive Officer briefed the DDC about tourist infrastructure created at the heritage site including Cafeteria, guesthouse, viewpoints etc to facilitate visiting tourists. He also informed about progress on Rs 25 Lakh illumination project being executed by the Development Authority.
The DDC said the illumination of the heritage site would add to its overall beautification and directed for expediting the work.
Proposal for creation of parking space was also sought from the concerned. Tehsildar was asked to maintain proper entries of Sarai in revenue record to prevent encroachment of its premises.
