KUPWARA, AUGUST 04: District Administration Kupwara in its anti-encroachment drive has retrieve 456 kanals of Kahcharai and state land from encroachments.
The drive was started this month and concerned tehsildars, sub-divisional magistrates have been directed to implement the directions in letter and spirit within the prescribed time.
The drive was held in Bumhama, Rakhi Gundmancher, Kupwara, Chanjmulla, Khaipora, Wagat, Khirman Nandram, Chotipora, Badkoot Machipora, Hajitra, Taad, Kunan, Doolipora, Haftrada, Drugmulla, Gund Gushi, Gugloosa, Pachkoote, Panditpora, Shartgund Balla, Yaroo and Kralpora villages of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara has urged the people to help the district administration in safeguarding public resources.
He also directed the concerned to mobilize their field functionaries and monitor the achievements on the ground for the larger interest of the general public. He also directed them to get demarcation of all public roads, footpaths, irrigation canals, and other encroachment done during the drive and to furnish a daily report with regard to removal of encroachments in their respective jurisdictions.
