Centre today gave an assurance in the Lok Sabha that fire tenders will be deployed in all ten inhabited islands in Lakshadweep.
During the Question Hour, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that he is aware of problems being faced by people of the Union Territory and will take all possible steps to resolve them. He said the department of fire protection and control is running under the control and supervision of Superintendent of Police- cum-Chief Fire Officer.
NCP Member Mohammed Faizal had raised the issue.
