Rain delays start of second Test between India, England

Intermittent rain has delayed the start of the second Test between India and England at the Lord’s in London.

The match was due to start at 3.30 p.m. Indian Standard Time. Even the toss has not yet been held.  The weather continues to be gloomy and as per reports, some of the lights have been turned on.

Hosts England lead the five-match series after their 31-run victory in the gripping first Test at Birmingham. The world number one Test side came close to taking the lead but fell short in the end.

The Indian team would, therefore, expect its floundering batsmen to take more responsibility in pursuit of a series-levelling win at the Lord’s. And India could make changes in the playing Eleven.
