Rain interrupts play on day 2 of 2nd cricket Test between India, England

India were reeling at 15 for three at tea on day two of the second Cricket Test at Lord’s.  After a complete wash-out on day one, England skipper Joe Root won the toss on the second day, putting India into bat in overcast conditions.

Fast bowler James Anderson took the wickets of  Murali Vijay for a duck and KL Rahul for 8 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara was run out for one.

When the match stopped due to rain, skipper Virat Kohli was on three runs. India brought Cheteshwar Pujara and Kuldeep Yadav in place of Shikhar Dhawan and Umesh Yadav while England’s Chris Woakes replaced Ben Stokes. England won the first Test by 31 runs.
