After suffering first washout of a day of Test cricket in 17 years at Lord’s, second Test match between India and England is likely to begin today.
Neither team have named their final XI, as bad weather provided no opportunity even for the toss on the opening day.
As per the BBC Weather Report, the forecast is better for the remainder of the Test, although there may be further showers in the afternoon.
The hosts lead 1-NIL in the five-match series after a thrilling 31-run win at Edgbaston last week.
Meanwhile, the complete washout of a day forced the MCC to refund around 17 crore rupees of matchday tickets. Rain insurance will cover the cost of refunds.
