SRINAGAR, AUGUST 11: An awareness programme under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral (SVEEP) participation for physically challenged persons was conducted today at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh.
The programme was organized by Deputy Director Tourism Waseem Raja who is also the nodal officer SVEEP with support of Social Welfare Department.
The programme was attended by Principal Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh, Tehsil Social Welfare Officers Srinagar and Booth Level Officers of various assembly constituencies.
The officers stressed upon the physically challenged persons to get registered as voters to ensure their participation in electoral process.
Earlier the students of GHSS Kothibagh spoke about the objectives of SVEEP programme and the voting rights of the physically challenged persons.
The participants were familiarized with the process of voter registration and relevant forms were distributed among the participants by the officials.
