Talat visits Hall Pulwama, Vessu Kulgam migrant camps

KULGAM/PULWAMA, AUGUST 11: Secretary Disaster Management Talat Parvez Rohella today visited Hall Pulwama and Vessu Kulgam migrant camps to take stock of various ongoing works in the camp and to check facilities available in these camps.

At transit camp Hall Pulwama Talat Parvez took stock of facilities provided to the migrants. On the occasion, the Secretary was apprised about demands pertaining to health, and availability of essentials items besides the security issues. The Secretary assured that all the projected demands will be taken up on priority. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments to address all the demands raised by migrants.

Speaking at Vessu Kulgam Talat Parvez said that construction of 512 quarters is in hand and the number needed to be enhanced to accommodate all these employees. He added that the completed quarters will be allotted to these employees by March next year to accommodate them with all necessary facilities. He exhorted upon executing agencies to expedite the pace of work to complete the project in fixed time line.

While taking stock of basic facilities in the camps he directed concerned departments to fine tune the facilities of Ration distribution and other facilities in the Camp.

Migrant employees residing in the camps apprised him about various issues they are facing in the camp and he assured them that all of their issues will be addressed on priority basis.
