Full Dress Rehearsal of Independence Day celebration will be held tomorrow at the Red Fort. The rehearsal will have the same traffic restrictions as on Independence Day. Delhi traffic police in its advisory said, roads will be closed for general traffic from 5 to 9 in the morning at Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, S P Mukherjee Marg and Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg and Esplanade Road and its Link Road. Traffic will be diverted on some roads on these two days.
Vehicles without parking labels for the rehearsal parade need to avoid Tilak Marg, Mathura Road, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg and Ring Road between Nizamuddin Bridge and ISBT bridge and take alternative route. Movement of goods vehicles between Nizamuddin bridge and Wazirabad bridge will be prohibited from midnight of 14th August to 11 am on 15th August.
Parking facilities will not be available at the Delhi Metro stations from 6 am on 14th August till 2 pm on 15th August in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day.
