DMK leader Durai Murugan says Party’s working President Stalin would soon become leader of Party

The deputy leader of opposition in the Tamil Nadu assembly and the Deputy General Secretary of the DMK, Durai Murugan has said that the  Party’s working President Stalin would soon become the leader of the Party.

Speaking at today’s emergency executive meet, he said Stalin had imbibed all the dynamic qualities of Karunanidhi and was a capable leader to head the party.
Addressing the workers,  working President M.K.Stalin told that it was the desire of his father and the DMK Patriarch to be buried next to his mentor C.N.Annadurai.

He blamed the AIADMK government for creating an issue out of it and thanked the Party’s legal wing who won the case. He exhorted the Party workers to stand together and keep up the ideals of the late leader Karunanidhi.
Today’s meeting which was attended by members and special invitees of the Party condoled the death of the DMK Patriarch.

Listing out several social welfare schemes sketched out by the leader, the resolutions also pointed out the crucial political decisions taken by him.

The executive committee appreciated his vision in promoting autonomy for the States and federalism at the Centre. Several former ministers paid rich tributes to the leader during the meet.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Party spokesperson T.K.S.Elangovan told the media that there was no room for any controversy and the General Council of the Party would meet at the right time to elect the Chief of the Party.

He said that any attempt to create division within the party would fail miserably.
