Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu asks airlines to lower fares on flights to & from flood-affected Kerala

Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu has asked airlines to lower fares on flights to and from flood-affected Kerala.

He advised them to fix a cap of maximum fare around 10,000 rupees on longer routes and 8000 on shorter routes to and from the state and nearby airports.

In a tweet, the Minister said a round-the-clock control room has been set up by the DGCA for passenger related issues pertaining to refund of air tickets and flight schedules.

Mr Prabhu has also appealed to industrialists, trade organisations, philanthrophists and export promotion councils to offer maximum help as the state has suffered massive damages.
