Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes were immersed at Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar by his daughter Namita this afternoon.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and his Uttarakhand counterpart Trivendra Singh Rawat were present on the occasion.
Earlier this morning, three urns carrying ashes of the departed leader were collected from Delhi’s Smriti Sthal.
His daughter Namita Bhattacharya and other family members were there to collect the ashes.
