Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal today appealed to all food processing industries to come to the aid of the flood-ravaged people of Kerala by generously donating processed food products. In a statement, Ms Badal said, the thousands of flood-affected people who have been rendered homeless, need processed food items urgently.
She said, the food processing ministry has nominated two officers Joint Secretary Parag Gupta and Deputy Secretary Atyanand to coordinate this effort. She said, industries could contact Mr Gupta on his mobile numbers (9650872875) and Mr Atyanand on (9891614895) to make the desired donations.
Ms Badal said, three lakh biscuit packets had already been delivered to the Kerala government by ITC and Britannia after a request made by her.
