National Commission for Women, NCW today sought action taken report from Bihar Police over an incident where a woman was allegedly thrashed by a mob in the state.
The Commission has written to state Director General of Police for investigation and also directed him to apprise it of detailed action taken in the matter at the earliest.
The NCW has also taken serious note of the fact that no arrests have been made till now even after many photos and videos have been circulated on social media.
The mob stripped, thrashed and paraded a woman naked in Arrah yesterday on suspicion of her involvement in the murder of a young man.
