India produced a fantastic collective performance to outclass England by 203 runs in the third Cricket Test at Nottingham today to keep the five-match series alive.
Resuming at the overnight score of 311 for nine on the fifth day today, England were all out for 317, just adding six runs to their score. England’s Jos Buttler, who made 106 runs and Ben Stokes 62 were the only two batsmen who could withstand with India’s bowling.
For India, while Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets, Ishant Sharma two and Mohd. Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin and Hardik Pandya one each in their second innings.
Skipper Virat Kohli was declared Player of the Match, scoring 97 runs in the first innings and 103 in the second innings. India now trail England 1-2. The fourth test will begin on the 30th of this month at Southampton.
