Rescued 6 Indian fishermen from Sri Lankan waters in seas offnorthern coast of Jaffna: Sri Lanka Navy

Sri Lanka Navy has said it rescued six Indian fishermen from Sri Lankan waters in the seas off the northern coast of Jaffna. A navy statement issued today said a naval crew on routine patrol spotted the Indian fishermen swimming in the sea.
It said investigations revealed that the boat they were onboard met with an accident in the deep sea. The fishermen are residents of Tamil Nadu. Navy has handed them over to Kankansathurai police for further investigations after providing them with medical care and assistance.
