Vice President of India M.Venkaiah Naidu has stressed on the need to bring back the values of Culture, Traditions and Heritage of our Country which was given by the Forefathers.
He was interacting with faculty and staff of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
He expressed his concern over the Farming community as agriculture is not sustainable due to climatic conditions, non-usage of advanced technology etc.
During the one year period in office as Vice President of India, he said that the special focus has been given on Five areas namely, Education, Farming sector, Research and development,NGOs and Cultural sector.
He added that the acquired information is being shared with the government for policy making. Mr Naidu appreciated the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating policies like ‘Swatch Bharath, Beti Bachao-Beti padao’ which made remarkable changes in the society.
Member of the Parliament of Visakhapatnam, Dr.K.Hari babu, Dr.Venkateswarulu, Regional Director, BARC, Dr.Raghunatha Rao, Director, Homi Bhabha Cancer Institute, District Collector, Praveen Kumar and others participated in the interactive session.
