Srinagar, Aug 25: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s attack on RSS and BJP government or even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not tantamount to attacking India.
Vice-President of the National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah said if it was so then BJP leaders in opposition for ten years were also attacking India when they criticised Congress and Dr Manmohan Singh.
Taking to micro-blogging site twitter Omar Abdullah said, “Attacking the RSS, the government, the BJP or even the PM is not tantamount to attacking India because if it is then the BJP spent 10 years attacking India when they criticised the Congress & Dr Manmohan Singh between ‘04 & ‘14”.
He was reacting to statement of national spokesperson of BJP Sambit Patra who had said that Rahul should say sorry to 125 crore Indians, for maligning Indian government. He should stop attacking India. ‘Instead of being a proud Indian, you say that there is no policy on Pakistan. You say Chinese are still there in Doklam. Is he the Foreign Minister? Mr Patra has said.
