August, 27: A one day conference on 35-A was organised by Block Congress Committee, Kalakote at goder panchayat of dangri block under the chairmanship of Kashmir Singh, Sarpanch and President BCC in which Ashok Sharma former legislator and Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag was the chief guest. During the conference,six of BJP and two NC local leaders joined Congress.
While addressing the conference, Mr. Ashok Sharma stressed upon the need to preserve and protect 35-A for equitable development, employment opportunities and exploration of natural economical potential of the state. Mr. Sharma pleaded that BJP, PDP and NC has created trust deficit by raising unwanted issues to sensitise and exploit the voters for getting power by all means which is unfortunate.
“Congress will educate the people in all the nooks and corners of the state involving the experts and intellectuals with regard to such sensitive issues and ensure that the voters are allowed to exercise their frenchise keeping real spirit in mind ensurined in the constitution of india and the mission of freedom struggle in real sense”,added Mr.Sharma and urged upon the newly alivated state governor to upgrade middle school Goder to high school and high school potha to higher secondary school besides early completion of potha goder – tatapani road via adarni khothian and complete electrification to provide minimum basic needs of the people.
Mr.Sharma further said that the people are fed up with the hollow slogans given by NC, BJP and PDP and they have made up their mind to support congress on the one hand and the congress president Mr. Rahul Gandhi has announced that his party will provide honest and performing faces during assembly parliament and local bodies elections which is sure to being congress into power in state of J&K and restore the best governance of double and triple shift the state had during two and half years congress rule in the recent past.
Among those who joined Congress were Lal Chand, Ram Dass, Kala Ram, Lekh Raj, Kasturi Lal, Master Kashmir Singh, Amar Singh of BJP, Mohd. Amin and Mohd. Raiz of NC.Mr.Sharma welcomed and assured them full respect and dignity in the congress family.Among those who spoke in the conference included Sarpanch Kashmir Singh, Sajad Mirza, Shabir Ahmed, Lal Chand, Suraj Parkash, Raiz Hussain Malik, Master Kashmir Singh, Rattan Singh, Ashwani Sharma among others.
