Head of Islamic State terror group in Afghanistan, Abu Saad Erhabi killed in an airstrike in Nangarhar province

The head of Islamic State in Afghanistan, Abu Saad Erhabi has been killed in an air strike on the terror group’s hideouts in Nangarhar province.
National Directorate of Security said in Kabul  that ten other members of the terror group were also killed in a joint ground and air operation by Afghan and foreign forces on Saturday night. It also said that a large amount of heavy and light weapons and ammunition were destroyed during raids on two Islamic State hideouts.
Hours before the raid, the group claimed responsibility for a deadly suicide attack which targeted a sit-in protest outside election commission office in the city of Jalalabad that killed two people.
