BJP CMs meeting underway in New Delhi to review welfare schemes in party-ruled states

The Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states are meeting in New Delhi today. BJP President Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states and other senior party leaders are attending the meeting at the party headquarters.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the meeting in the afternoon. It is believed that the meeting will take stock of welfare works being carried out in the BJP-ruled states.

The meeting has assumed significance in view of upcoming assembly elections in three states and the Lok Sabha polls.
The agenda of good governance and running pro-poor policies have been key features of the Chief Ministers’ meetings, which have been taking place regularly since Mr Modi took over as Prime Minister in 2014.

BJP’s Deputy Chief Ministers in different states are also attending the day-long meeting.
