Congress President Rahul Gandhi has asked the Centre to provide adequate financial aid to Kerala to counter the unprecedented floods which ravaged the state. He said that the initial package offered by the Centre was inadequate and the new package should be announced.
Talking to media persons at Kochi, he further said that there is nothing wrong in accepting the unconditional foreign aid for flood relief works. He visited some of the flood-affected areas of Ernakulam district today. However, his visit to Wayanad district was cancelled due to bad weather.
