In Jammu & Kashmir, two militants including top Hizbul commander were killed in three-hour-long gun battle in Muniward area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this morning. Security sources did not identify the commander yet.
However, reports said that Altaf Kachroo of Redwani in Kulgam district is one among the slain terrorists. They said that arms and ammunition were recovered from the debris at encounter site. Earlier, a gunfight broke out in the wee hours following the launch of specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Meanwhile, in the wake of killings authorities have snapped internet services in most parts of Anantnag and Kulgam district. Train services were also suspended between Srinagar and Banihal in Jammu region.
