India 216 for 8 in 68 overs in reply to England’s 246 in first innings at Southampton

In cricket, India were 216 for 8 in 68 overs in their first innings against England on day two of the fourth test at Southampton a short-while ago. Skipper Virat Kohli was out for 46.

While Shikhar Dhawan made 23, K.L. Rahul contributed 19.

The hosts yesterday winning the toss and electing to bat first, made 246 runs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets while Mohd Shami, Ishant Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin got two wickets each and Hardik Pandya one.

England lead the 5 match series 2-1. The fifth and final test will be played in London from the 7th of next month.
