Forces launch search operation at Tral hospital

Srinagar, Sep 1: Government forces today launched cordon and search operation at Sub-District Hospital Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official said that joint team of Jammu & Kashmir police, army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 180 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have launched the operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Forces have blocked the entries to the hospital so that searches are carried out.

The operation was on when this report was being filed.

“We have tightened the cordon to ensure that militants don’t escape from the area,” a police official said.
