Haryana Police has lodged an FIR for alleged irregularities in Gurugram land deal case against Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra and former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Manesar Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar told PTI that FIR against Mr. Vadra, Mr.Hooda and two companies — DLF and Onkareshwar Properties — has been registered at a police station in Gurugram under various sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the FIR, Mr.Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality Pvt Ltd purchased land in Gurugram at a price of 7.5 crore rupees, when Hooda was chief minister. Company later sold it to realty major, DLF for 58 crore rupees, after procuring commercial licence for development of the colony with Mr. Hooda’s influence.
