Governor seeks monthly reports

JAMMU: Governor S P Malik has sought the details of all the major developmental activities and achievements during the month of August, a practice he ordered to continue in months to come.

The Governor’s Secretariat in a circular, directed all the Administrative Secretaries to furnish the details regarding the major developmental activities and achievements during the month of August 2018 to the Governor’s Secretariat by or before 5th September 2018 with a copy to GAD.

“It is further requested that henceforth monthly information on the subject be furnished to the Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning Development & Monitoring Department, for consolidation and its onward submission to the Principal Secretary to the Governor by 3rd of every month,” it added.

Meanwhile, the state government on Saturday assigned the charges of posts which fell vacant due to two officers going abroad on deputation to two other officers.

“Navin Kumar Choudhary, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, shall hold the additional charge of the post of Principal Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce and Labour and Employment Departments, during the period, Shailendra Kumar, IAS, remains on deputation to Tel Aviv, Israel.

“Similarly, Achal Sethi, Special Secretary to the Government, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, shall look after the work of Administrative Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, during the period, Abdul Majid Bhat, remains on deputation to Toronto, Canada,” the official order read.
