Police cracks jawan’s murder case in Poonch, two held

Jammu, Sep 5: Police claimed to have cracked murder case of an Army jawan and arrested two persons including a woman in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Nearly four months after jawan’s death, a case has been cracked,” a senior police official said here on Wednesday.

He said that the jawan was killed during a scuffle over a land dispute.

“We have arrested two persons identified as Mohammad Alyas and Zanib Bi of Mendhar,” he added.

Pertinently Army’s Defence Service Corps (DSC) unit jawan Mohammad Matloob was critically injured during the scuffle at Chajjla village on May 5 and he succumbed to injuries at a hospital on May 19.
