India’s women cricket team is in Sri Lanka to play its first ever bilateral series with the neighbouring country. The series will have three ODIs and five T20 matches with the first ODI scheduled on Tuesday at Galle.

Addressing a pre-series press conference in Colombo last evening, Indian captain Mithali Raj said that her team is positive about performance on the field. She said that the series will count for ICC points and will be crucial for both the teams.

Sri Lanka will be led by Chamari Attapattu.
