September 15: In order to provide all type of medical facilities to the people at their doorsteps under Public Service Guarantee Act, Block Medical Officer, Kandi, Dr.Iqbal Malik with the coordination of middle school Chakle Jamola, organized a medical-cum-certificate camp at village Chakli Jamoal, a far-flung area in the hamlets of Kotranka town of district Rajouri.
A team of Doctors, Dr Ghulam Qader, Dental Surgeon, Dr Asif Iqbal, Dr Farooq Tantry , Dr Jabeen Qummar Medical Officers,Dr Mohd Ayoub lone, Community Health Officer,Mohd Ajaz, Mohd Masood, Kuldeep Sing Sri. Pharmacist, Sahil Jaspal, Pharmacist, Vadana Kumari FMPHW, Deepak Tavar dealing assist. Mohd Said BHW, Raspal Sing N/O, Mohd Sharief BHWN, Shoket Ali Lab. Tech.and others rendered their services.
In the camp, a total 195 old age certificates for pension and other allied beneficial purposes, 63 labour certificate for fitness, 8 illness certificates, 15 widow pension certificate, 109 children vaccinated , 4 disability certificate, were issue on the spot whereas in the medical camp, the doctors examined and treated more than 283 patients having different ailments and provided free medicine and Lab.tests during the day-long camp.
During the camp, BMO Kandi delivered a lecture on Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign and awareness on Measles-Rubella campaign and urged people not to believe in rumours and fake news circulating on social media. Officials said, “MR vaccines are WHO certified and widely used in other parts of the world.” Measles and Rubella, two viral diseases with common symptoms, are major causes of morbidity and mortality in children.Detail of health schemes such as NHM, RBSK, JSY, JSSK etc were discussed and even pamphlets regarding the same were also distributed by health team.
Senior community members of the area have widely appreciated the role of Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri and health department in managing and organizing the events for the public.
