No more interviews for class-IV govt jobs

JAMMU: The state government has formally dispensed with interviews in the recruitment process for Class-IV posts.
“The Governor hereby directs that the selection of Class-IV posts borne on establishment of all the Government Departments shall be made solely on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board,” an official notification read.
The notification, however, said that the General Administration Department may, in exceptional circumstances, exclude any Government Department from the purview of this notification.
However, the procedure for selection for the posts for which selection process has already been initiated by the Empowered Committees shall continue to be governed by the rules and orders in force on the date of issuance of this notification.
