Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the India International Convention and Expo Centre in New Delhi today. Located at Sector 25 in Dwarka, the Centre will be spread over an area of 221.37 acres.
This world-class state-of-the-art Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre will have facilities like financial, hospitality, retail services, open exhibition spaces and high-end offices. The estimated cost of the project is 25,700 crore rupees. The facilities provided at the Centre will be on a par with the best in the world in size and quality. Mr Modi will later address the gathering at the foundation ceremony, a Prime Minister’s Office release said.
The project is implemented by India International Convention & Exhibition Centre Limited, a 100 per cent Government owned company under Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
