Srinagar : A complete shutdown is being observed in Dooru-Verinag areas of the south Kashmir on the second consecutive day against the killing of two militants during an encounter.
An eyewitness said that all the shops and business establishments in the Dooru and Verinag areas are shut, while public transport in both the areas is off the roads.
However, the traffic in the other parts of the district is plying smoothly. Earlier, a militant and an army man were killed during an encounter with government forces in Dalwach Dooru.
The slain was identified as Mohammad Asif Malik son of Mohammad Aasif Malik a resident of Khahgund Dooru. He was killed during a pre-dawn encounter at Dalwach Qazigund in Kulgam.
