Life returns to normal in Kashmir

Srinagar : Life returned to normal on Saturday after remaining crippled on Friday due to strike called by separatists against the death of a youth in security force action during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Noorbagh area of the downtown on Thursday.

Shops and business establishments reopened and traffic was also plying on all routes normally in Srinagar and outskirts. Work in government offices also resumed. The educational institutions, which remained closed yesterday, are functioning today.

Reports of normalcy were also received from other major district and tehsil headquarters.

The separatists have called for strike against the killing of Mohammad Saleem Malik in Noorbagh area of Chattabal in the downtown.
