Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu expressed serious concern over the increasing emission from lighting and asked the industry to work out an effective solution to reduce it. He said the introduction of LED is a major transformation and assured the government’s support to the industry.
Mr Prabhu was speaking at a function after jointly inaugurating a three-day Light India Exhibition with Science and Technology Minister Dr Harshvardhan in New Delhi today. The exhibition was organised to introduce the new technology of LED intelligent lighting.
Dr Harshvardhan said, the use of LED bulbs will help in combating global warming.
