MoS for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey stresses on need of evidence-based planning of National Health Resource Repository

Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey has stressed on the need of evidence-based planning of National Health Resource Repository.

The NHRR is country’s first ever national healthcare facility registry of data of all public and private healthcare establishments.

Speaking on the occasion of releasing an Analytical Report of the National Health Profile-2018 in Patna yesterday, Mr Choubey said the vision of the NHRR project is to strengthen evidence-based decision making and develop a platform for citizen and provider-centric services by creating a robust, standardized and secured IT-enabled repository of India’s healthcare resources.

Our correspondent reports the NHRR project, which was launched by Health Minister JP Nadda in June this year, involves conducting a national census for all public and private healthcare facilities including hospitals, doctors, clinics, blood banks, pharmacies, and diagnostic labs.
