Britain, France and Germany insisted that “light must be shed” on the where about of journalist Jamal Khashoggi as they called for a credible investigation into his disappearance.
In a joint statement issued in London, said whoever was responsible for the Saudi journalist’s disappearance must be held to account.
Khashoggi, a Washington Post contributor, vanished after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2 to obtain official documents for his upcoming marriage.
Meanwhile, PTI has reported that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Saudi King Salman had discussed the issue over the telephone.
The two countries also agreed to set up a joint working group to discuss the missing of Khashoggi.
