A grateful nation is remembering former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary today. Dr Kalam is also known as the Missile Man of India.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Dr Kalam was an exceptional teacher, a wonderful motivator and an outstanding scientist. He said, Dr Kalam lives in the hearts and minds of every Indian.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, Dr Kalam was a visionary scientist and a people’s President. Mr Singh said, he played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s defence preparedness.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore said, Dr Kalam was a scientist, a visionary and a leader. He said, as the Missile Man of India, Dr. Kalam ignited a thousand minds and gave India its Wings of Fire. Col. Rathore said, as President, he epitomized selfless service, humility and wisdom.
