After culmination of last phase of Urban Local Body (ULB) polls BJP conducted a press conference in Jammu today. In his address to the press and media, BJP state president Ravinder Raina said the election to ULB which took place in four phases is over and people of this state participated with great enthusiasm in these elections.
He said, “Conspiracies were hatched by anti national forces (separatists and militant groups) to sabotage the demo process in state of Jammu and Kashmir.” Blaming the main stream political parties for their negative role in recently held elections, Ravinder Raina said, “These registered political parties have governed the state for very long duration were even member of parliament and held ministers in Central Government have somewhere tried to derail the political process, but the people of this state while sidelining such sabotages and derailments made sure the election process is a success in the state.”
It is a matter of great pride that people of this state filed nominations even under grave threat of guns and boycott call and made the election process a success.
Ravinder Raina added, “ BJP extends its gratitude and thanks to the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh who participated in these elections. Adding that BJP also is thankful to the Governor of state, Chief Election Officer of state , Election Commission of India and all security agencies and forces who extended all possible help in smooth conduct of ULB election in state.
The counting of votes will take place on 20 October, Saturday and the entire election process of ULB polls will be complete by 27 October, Saturday.
