7th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival –18 is being organized on 28 October at New Delhi. The film festival offers networking and marketing platform to Short film, Documentary, Animation, Music Video and Script categories of film production to over 90 countries in the world. The international short film festival is being organized by ‘Miniboxoffice’ an Indian organization with base in New Delhi.
While speaking with Epilogue News Network reporter festival director of DSIFF -18 while highlighting the role and scope of such film festivals said, “Promoting Short films and Documentary culture in a country where commercial cinema has always ruled the roost is not an easy task, added ‘Delhi Shorts International Film Festival’ is one such successful effort started in 2012 by ‘Miniboxoffice’, six successful additions starting from 2012. The festival brings thoughtful, highly creative and engaging short films from around the world to fulfill the cinegoers appetite in the capital city of India. The festival aims to establish a short film industry which runs parallel to commercial cinema.”
Rambhul Singh added, “The festival objective is to boost-up the short film market & providing exhibition platform to short film makers. DSIFF-18 is hosting nearly 160 films from various categories of Short Film, Documentary, Animation, Music Video, and Script from dozens of countries around the globe. A short film ‘Stones & Wounds’ made by ‘Epilogue Media House’ finds its entry in third official selection list of ‘Miniboxoffice’ and will be screened along will other entries on 28 October 2018 at New Delhi.
‘Stones & Wounds’ is a short film of Epilogue Media House directed by Aditya Raj Somani & Sachin Malvi and produced by Sandeep Aima. The film showcases the dilemma of youth in Kashmir sandwiched between the desires to excel and pulls and pushes of society. The chaos on ground impacting the conscience and mindset of youth clubbed with feigning indifference propelling their indecisiveness, turning them further towards radicalization. The short film has been made in the back ground of prevailing situation in valley with a hope that it reaches all stake holders and builds the right narrative in addressing the apprehensions and concerns of all concerned.
