In Cricket, the first ODI of the five-match series between India and the West Indies will be played in Guwahati today. The match will begin at 1.30 p.m. The hosts have an edge in the win-record over the visitors from their last few encounters. India has won three out of the last five ODI games, losing one while one with no result. However, India has won the last five of the nine matches on the home ground while the West Indies have won two and the remaining two were cancelled.
However, the West Indies have better win record against the hosts in overall ODIs played so far. If India clean sweep the series 5-NIL, they will increase the number of wins to 61 – same as the number of defeats against the West Indies. After the ODI series, both countries will play three-match Twenty-20 series starting 4th of next month.
