President Ram Nath Kovind has said that the Government is taking proper steps to enhance the quality of education in the country. He was speaking at the 15th convocation of Symbiosis International Deemed University in Pune today.
President Ram Nath Kovind has said that Indian Education System is attracting the world from the era of Taxashila and Nalanda Universities.
While speaking at Symbiosis University Convocation in Pune he also expressed regret that today we have more than 900 Universities in our country but they are way behind in respect of quality education.
He said that now government is working hard to enhance quality and bring excellence in education. President also emphasised that there should be no discrimination in Men and Women in the field of education.
Mr. Sonam Wangchuck from Ladkah was honoured with D. Lit. for his innovative contribution in the field of education in this convocation. Wasan Hasan from Uganda was adjudged as best foreign student.
Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawade and Guardian Minister for Pune Girish Bapat were present on the occasion.
