Rajouri administration organized a mega camp to educate the locals about the benefits of Pardhan Mantri mudhra Yojana (PMMY), here today.
District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Assad inaugurated the camp attended by a large number of locals.
In his inaugural address, the DDC highlighted the scope of the scheme in accelerating the economic growth and asked the banks to go for wide publicity so that maximum number of people can avail the benefits.
“Rajouri has emerged as a trade centre due to its connectivity with Kashmir via Mughal road which can be used to tap its immense potential for Dairy farming, Horticulture and Sericulture” he said and asked the Youth to avail the benefits of such schemes to become job creators instead of being job seekers. He urged upon the Youth to know about the government schemes like Standup and startup India to reap the benefits.
Meanwhile DDC also inspected of the stalls put up by different department of the District.
The Lead District Manager Sunil Sharma said that the idea is to spread the message across the District that banks are in the process of taking banking services and products to every nook and corner using the time-saving and money-saving medium of digital banking. He also talked about various aspects of Mudra loans.
Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) is a central scheme for providing loans upto 10 lakh to the non-corporate, non-farm small/micro enterprises. These loans are classified as MUDRA loans under PMMY. These loans are given by Commercial Banks, RRBs, Small Finance Banks, Cooperative Banks, MFIs and NBFCs. The borrower can approach any of the lending institutions or can apply online through this portal.
